Buskin River State Recreation Site: has 17 camp sites, water, toilets, dump station, picnic shelters, hiking trails, historical features and fishing.

Fort Abercrombie State Historic Park
the site of WWII coastal fortifications, 13 tent sites, picnic area, with firewood, toilets and water. Panoramic views of Raspberry Island to the north, puffins, sea otters and whales visible from the cliffs. Easy hiking trails and wonderful wildflowers. Park Ranger Station 907-486-6339.

Pasagshak State Recreation Site
45 miles from downtown. Toilets, and water. Excellent fishing in the Pasagshak River.
RV permits for parking on private property within city limits may be obtained from city cashier. They are free and are issued for 14 days. Restrictions apply so check with the visitor center.
