info@orcasunlimited.com
At Orcas Unlimited, we offer kayak tours, expeditions, sea-life viewing and photography throughout the Kodiak archipelago. Based in Kodiak city, we take small groups of 2-6 people into Kodiak's wilderness for a day or up to a week.
Orcas Unlimited is an:
award-winning ecotourism outfitter
based in Kodiak, Alaska.
We feature kayak tours,
expeditions, sea-life
viewing and photography
throughout the rugged
islands of the Kodiak
archipelago and Katmai
coast of Alaska.
If you're hoping to see or photograph sea otters, puffins, or any of our five species of whales, you've come to the right place. Being a dedicated eco-tourism guide (no fishing) puts us in the wild places day after day, where we can track the movements of humpback whales, rafts of seals, even the daily habits of individual otters. The kayaks offer an intimate wilderness experience that is non-intrusive to the wildlife and environmentally friendly. As of 2008, all of our trips are carbon neutral.
The M/V Celeste (pictured below) is our floating platform for photography, whale-watching, or launching kayaks as you see in the picture. As a "mothership" for our operations, Celeste offers us the versatility of paddling several destinations per day, providing a comfortable galley for lunch and even overnight accommodations.
Best Regards,
Andy Schroeder

In 2005, Andy resigned his Coast Guard commission as a Leiutenant to create a career in wilderness recreation and environmental stewardship in Kodiak.
After his Coast Guard service, Andy started Orcas Unlimited, an award-winning eco-tourism guiding service featuring mothership kayak tours from his 40' converted fishing vessel, the M/V Celeste. Galley Gourmet
Hello from Marion and Marty Owen in Kodiak, Alaska!
Kodiak Island, a wonderful place to visit and live!
Dinner Cruises. My husband Marty (Kodiak's harbormaster) and I operate
our cruises from our 42-foot Grand Banks-style yacht, the Sea Breeze.
GALLEY GOURMET, A FEAST UNDERWAY
Finally, our Galley Gourmet's dinner cruises are more than a meal
aboard a boat, making them a popular way to experience Kodiak Island.
They last 3.5 hours (plenty of time for dessert and after-dinner
mints!), which is why we like to call them dinner-sightseeing cruises.
We also provide whale-watching trips, custom day cruises and 3-day
creative cruises.
Yes, Kodiak is home to sea lions, puffins, sea otters, beautiful
wildflowers and whales. Every stretch of water and shoreline is a treat
to the senses. As one happy customer said, "The Sea Breeze is Alaska at
its best!"
We hope to see you soon on one of our cruises, and if we can answer any
of your questions, feel free to call us toll free at 1-800-253-6331.
(907-486-5079)
Sincerely, and with tasty thoughts,
Marty and Marion Owen
